The article discusses the role and importance of understanding the future by university students, the importance of building a program of “teaching the future”, which emphasizes the importance of not only qualified training of the relevant specialist, but also the ability to hold the future as a real environment for new creative searches in the development of one’s specialty.

The article considers the educational space of the university as a basis for the development of the student’s personality. Methodological approaches to the definition of the essence of the concept of “educational space” are presented. The analysis of the terms “educational space” and “educational environment” is carried out. The levels that the educational space includes are considered; the factors on which the effectiveness of the space depends, as well as the principles on which it is necessary to rely when designing the educational space of the university. As an example, the educational space of Kaluga State University named after K. E. Tsiolkovsky is considered as a set of educational environments of different orientation (educational, scientific, cultural and creative, information and digital, professional, etc.), focused on various youth activities that form the pedagogical design of a modern university. The degree of satisfaction of students with the conditions created within the framework of a specific university environment was revealed, based on data obtained from a survey of students conducted by the Center for Licensing, Accreditation and Quality of Education of K. E. Tsiolkovsky KSU.

A new educational paradigm in the context of socioal and cultural transformations and challenges of the modern information society determines the updated guidelines for the goals of the modern system of higher education. The positions of the development of the personal potential of the student are updated; centering on the student’s personality as a subject of selfdetermination, self-development, self-realization; mobile, capable of presenting uniqueness, success in the new changing conditions and requirements of society and the labor market from the standpoint of existing indicators of knowledge, skills, resources for productive action and opportunities for development. Solving the problem of understanding the use of the possibilities of the educational space of the university to form the image of a future specialist has become the main task of the study.

The author pays special attention to the substantiation of the value orientation of the individual to physical culture and sports as one of the sources of the formation of moral and volitional upbringing of students.

The article is about the actual problem of professional education of pedagogical university students in a new society. The author demonstrates the shift of educational priorities in a modern university from traditional ones, based on imitation, to new ones, based on creating conditions for the development of a self-valuable, creatively active, highly cultured student personality. The article demonstrates a new concept of professional education of students at the pedagogical university, defines the educational space of a pedagogical university. The author points out the importance of the communicative educational space of a pedagogical university and defines a number of its constituent elements, each of which has its own purpose, functions, content; such elements are: personal, facilitating, and didactic elements. A number of academic disciplines are presented and extracurricular activities are characterized, providing for the creation of a communicative educational space and providing professional communicative education for students. The author also points to methodological approaches that are the basis for the competent organization of the speech educational space of the pedagogical university.

The article deals with professional deformations from the standpoint of isolating the negative impact of professional activity on the personality and behavior of a person, as a result of the intense activity of a professional, the presence of stressful components of his work, as a way of adapting, adapting a professional to his activity, the positive or destructive orientation of the procedural plan. The authors analyze the factors (objective, subjective, objective-subjective), causing the emergence of professional deformations of a teacher of higher education and designing a program of prevention and assistance in leveling the manifestations of professional deformations in activity.

Identifying the psychological characteristics of a specialist’s image is relevant in modern society, since it allows for building social interaction and communication with other people. Psychological and pedagogical aspects of image formation influence the perception of the level of competence, professionalism and reliability of a specialist. Part of the training, and therefore the image of the future specialist, is the formation of the ability to interact with digital reality from the standpoint of both technological development and social, moral and economic aspects.
