The publication reflects the results of the implementation of an experimental program, the purpose of which was to study the relationship between relationships in the “parent-adolescent” system and the nature of adolescents’ self-attitude. Based on the method of theoretical understanding of available information in the area of interest and understanding self-attitude as a capacious complex education based on the integration of private ideas about oneself, highlighting as features of adolescents’ attitude towards themselves the need for them to know and understand themselves, their individuality, and assuming that a teenager’s attitude towards himself directly depends on the nature, direction and content of his parents’ communication with him, an experimental research program was designed and implemented, which objectively proved the validity of the hypothesis we formulated.

The article highlights the features of child-parent relations between adolescents and their parents; it is shown that the full picture of child-parent relations, their complexity and specificity can be understood only by comprehensively examining families, in particular separately fathers, mothers and their children; it is demonstrated that not only the attitude of parents to children, but also the attitude of children to parents it is no less significant and can have an impact on the nature of child-parent relations and, as a result, on the well-being of the child.

The article examines the developmental features of the maternal sphere of their personality in women with intact reproductive function, but suffering from infertility of unknown origin. We examined 104 women diagnosed with “unspecified infertility”, aged from 23 to 33 years. The control group consisted of 104 pregnant women who did not experience difficulties conceiving a child. The research was carried out using the projective technique of G. G. Filippova “Me and my unborn child” (interpretation proposed by I. V. Vshivkova), methods of R. V. Ovcharova and Yu. A. Degtyareva “Imaginations of an ideal parent”, modified in accordance with the purpose of our research; methodology “The roles of parent and child”, proposed by E. N. Vasilyeva and A. V. Orlov. It was revealed that women with infertility of unknown etiology are characterized by immaturity of the maternal sphere: a superficial and schematic image of the mother and the unborn child, internal rejection of motherhood with an external obsession with the idea of conceiving a child, vague ideas about the role of the mother, her functions, combined with the diversity of parental expectations. It is concluded that it is advisable to include in the content of psychological counseling for women with infertility of unclear etiology methods and technologies of working with the maternal sphere of their personality, psychological correction of images of motherhood and child-parent relationships, distorted due to the family situation of their development, providing assistance in understanding the intrapersonal conflict and its resolution through removing barriers to accepting oneself as a subject of parent-child interaction.

The paper presents a new Russian-language instrument measuring child-parent relationships based on the concept of fundamental existential motivations by A. Laengle. During the focus group examination an original Russian-language set of 70 statements was developed, for the validation of which two online samples were used (N = 573 and N = 328). Using hierarchical cluster analysis and confirmatory factor analysis we arrived at a set of 36 items grouped into four scales corresponding to four fundamental existential motivations and 12 subscales corresponding to theoretical prerequisites of fundamental motivations. The scales demonstrate acceptable reliability (α in the .73–.96 range, 0.98 for the general score). We sought evidence of validity of the scales by using correlational and multiple regression analyses of their associations with indicators of the Big Five and Subjective Alienation Questionnaire. The results indicate that the “Test of Existential Motivations in Interpersonal Relationships with Mother/Father” (TEMIR-M/F) questionnaire demonstrated high levels of internal consistency and reliability. Designed for an integral retrospective assessment of one’s relationship with parents the new instrument opens up new opportunities for empirical research in the field of child-parent relationships and can also be used in assessment, counseling and psychotherapy.

The article is devoted to an urgent problem of modern society — the destructive behavior of adolescents. Destructive behavior is understood as behavior formed under the influence of the social, family and cultural environment, aimed at destroying material things, accepted norms and rules, as well as harming oneself and others. The article presents the results of a study of the influence of the characteristics of the family environment on the formation of a tendency to destructive behavior in adolescents. It is determined that the formation of a tendency to destructive behavior is influenced by the following parameters of the microsocial en vironment – the dominance and directivity of the mother, hostility and indifference of the father, disinterest in the life of the child, low level of family cohesion, frequent family conflicts.

A variety of modern studies indicate the impact of parental divorce on various aspects of a child’s personality development. At the same time, we are talking mainly about children who find themselves in an urgent situation of parental divorce. The time-removed consequences of experiencing such a situation and their impact on marital well-being for grown-up children have not been sufficiently studied, which indicates the relevance of the stated issues. The presented research is aimed at studying the features of interpersonal relationships and family attitudes of spouses who experienced the disintegration of an integral parental family in childhood. In the course of this work, it was revealed that painful memories of parental divorce contribute to the formation of selfish and aggressive types of interpersonal interaction in close relationships, lead to dysfunctional marital attitudes.
