The study covers various aspects of using texts and exercises that are aimed at stimulating student motivation and interest in learning their native language. The analysis results allow to identify some characteristics of effective motivational design which foster student interest in educational materials. John Keller’s motivational model was utilized. It suggests designing the learning process (including educational tasks) by the means of four components such as learners’ attention, relevance, confidence and satisfaction.

The relevance of the study is due to the fact that a practical lesson is a method of reproductive education that provides a connection between theory and practice, contributing to the development of students’ skills and abilities to apply the knowledge gained in lectures and in the course of independent work. The article discusses the importance of practical training in the development of the course, the analysis of literary sources and educational programs of academic lyceums and specialized schools. In general, the work is devoted to assessing the role and significance of practical training in the course of physics.

The article presents the results of the analysis of the modern model of building an electronic library system of military universities, conducted on the basis of information provided on the official websites of educational organizations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. During the analysis, normative documents defining the procedure for the implementation of educational activities in the Ministry of Defense, as well as scientific works on this topic were also used.
