The article is devoted to the theoretical and empirical study of the peculiarities of the phenomenon of perfectionism among teachers. In the course of the theoretical study, the concept of “perfectionism” was analyzed, the features of the professional activity of teaching staff were determined. In the empirical part of the study, the interrelations between the manifestations of perfectionism and such personal characteristics as “extraversion”, “conscientiousness”, “negative emotionality” were established. Correlations between indicators of the perfectionism scale “negative selection” and emotional exhaustion are revealed.
