In the article, the authors raise the actual problem of perpetuating the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in the musical and pedagogical environment. It is emphasized that the involvement of children and youth in the multifaceted work to perpetuate and preserve the memory of the heroes, as a process, implements not only the educational function of education, but also serves educational purposes. As an example, the current socially significant all-Russian project is presented, which, according to the authors, contributes to the creative and personal development of students, as well as reinforcing patriotic and moral dominants in the education of young people. In this context, the form of educational content is relevant, which is universal for the entire field of education.
