The article discusses the results of a study of social representations of the life path, expressed through metaphors among students and respondents who completed their studies at a higher educational institution. The study involved 267 respondents aged 17 to 55 years (31 men and 236 women). Based on the conducted research, continuums of social representations of the life course were identified and substantiated at the theoretical level, and in accordance with them, the author’s approach to the analysis of data obtained in metaphorical essays was proposed. Data were obtained indicating the presence of specific social representations of students expressed through metaphors.
