The article presents the results of the study of crisis situations described by people who have experienced crisis states and coped with them. Based on the descriptions of crisis situations, the types of crisis states, their causes, components and signs will be highlighted.

The prevalence in modern society of such phenomenon as a culture of violence causes emergence of new research trends. In order to comprehensively study this problem, it is necessary to take into account the interpersonal and intrapersonal aspects of the complex of personal relationships, the relationship of the individual with the surrounding reality, manifested in two forms: in the belief in the justice of the world as a whole, and in the belief of a person that the world is fair in relation to concrete to him.
