The second part of the article presents the results of a comprehensive study of the main causes of violence in the family, which violate mutual understanding between its members. The main factors influencing abusive relationships between spouses, parents and children are described. The presented diagnostic results are interpreted taking into account individual and pair counseling of married couples at the stage of divorce.

The article is devoted to the consideration of the mode of possession as a concept denoting the comprehensive desire of a person to possess not only things, but also people, which is one of the main reasons that violate consent and mutual understanding between family members, generating marital physical and psychological violence (abuse). The mode of possession is considered as a component of a number of basic social needs of a person, and family relationships built on its basis.
