The article reveals the essence and importance of a multicultural approach to the musical education of children, as well as the possibility of applying the conceptual foundations of the educational system of T.I. and primary general musical education in China. The article also reveals the relationship, features and some practical aspects of policultural and multicultural education, their relationship with the concept of “cultural pluralism”. The main conclusion of the article is that in order to achieve the modern goals of musical education of children in China, it is necessary in the educational process to form schoolchildren’s ideas about the ethnic diversity of the country’s musical culture.
