The aim of the study was to identify the possibility of solving the problems of moral education and upbringing of students through the subject matter in the context of the growing influence of socialization agents linked to the media and the Internet. The purpose of this study is to analyze the possibilities of the social studies course in solving the problems of the moral education of students since it is the subject that includes substantive components directly related to moral and ethical issues that are most significantly influenced by today’s media environment. The developed methodological materials were tested at schools. The specific impact of the content and methods of teaching on the development of the moral consciousness of students at various levels of education was identified.
